The two pictures need to be in seperate layers first of all. Lets imagine that the two images are the same size. Make a selection from the middle of the first image to the right hand edge of the document. Now go to the SELECT menu and choose FEATHER. Choose a feather value (try 20 just for now) The size of the feather depends on the size of your document and the amount of fading you want from image 1 to 2. After inputting the feather value hit backspace on your keyboard. The image should now fade out on the right side. Now make the layer containing image 2 the active layer. Make a selection from the middle of the image to the left hand side of the document. Again feather the selection and hit Backspace on the keyboard. The two images should now fade into each other |

zeroprobe I didn´t tell you about the quickmask way to do it as I didn´t know how well you know Photoshop. Some people mess up seriously when entering quickmask ;) I´m glad you found a way to achieve the result you wanted. And a nice result you got indeed |
