hi, i was wondering if there is anyway to optimize the colors so that when you print onto black paper text can show up? i tried using a transparent background then using a near white shade of blue, and it doesn't show up very well on the paper. HELP! |

The way that is done in a professional environment is to paint the sheet black.... actually use white paper but print the black background. Then you can control what you get because the text will "knockout" the black background in areas where it needs to. If you are trying to print on black paper with an ink jet printer... give it up. Over the years I have "had" to print on black paper... but it isn't easy and most often it is done using an "opaque white" ink. Hope this helps. |

that's generally what we do as well. We do not print color on colored paper at all. Seems once the colors have been applied to the paper, the shade of the paper can dull any blues, yellows or other colors you have in your actual peice. You are going to use a lot of ink to print with a black background with an inkjet, so you might be better off taking it to a print shop like kinko's or copymax or any other professional printing service. |

Oooorrrr... Call around to high-end office/printing supply stores and ask for a "Bleach Cartridge" for your home inkjet printer. Could be tough to find, though. Don't have a fit if people laugh at your request. :p |
