number on top left corner when opening blank page?

Hi, Im a newb....please help:

When i go go file>new>press ok, by default the blank page that i open up shows a number on the top left corner for some reason, as if i used the slice tool, how do i get rid of this?

Hm, gotta think...I had that to I remember, but I don't remember how I got rid of it....I'll have to be returning when done thinking.

oh and im using photoshop 7 now, i dont think it ever did that for ps 6

Go to:
view -> (and then deselect) Show Extras

Mine is that way too... I am just too lazy to reset the default page, hehe.

actually...it still doesnt work

i went to view>show>show extra options> and i deselected everything...it still shows

Just a reminder i have that problem in PS 7, if thats the case...

anyone else have any ideas?
