I can't seem to get the free transform tool working. I used the magic wand to select what I wanted to transform, went to select>free transform..then did what I wanted to change, and pressed enter. After pressing enter, the image does not change but only the dotted line selection changes. I hope I'm making sense... Thanks |

There are 'two' free transform tools. One in Select > Transform Selection and Edit > Transform (or Edit > Free Transform) Select > Transform Selection (don't know if it is different in other versions of Photoshop, but mine says "Transform Selection") That option only transforms marquees... You want to deselect the marquee selection (Control + D) then hold down Control + T (or Ctrl + T if you're using Windows..) [you can also go to Edit > Transform (or Edit > Free Transform) ] From there you can right click your image or just scale it normally.. Make sure to hit "Enter" (or Return) to apply the transformation |
