How much RAM do you have set aside for Photoshop?

You can go to Edit > Preferences, under Memory and Image Cache to find out. Try setting more aside and see if that fixes your problem. I have mine set at 50% with 256 MB RAM, and it's always run just fine.

Even if you have 256 mb of RAM - How many other programs are running aside Photoshop? Maybe a firewall, antivirus.. some other program. They all use RAM so you might not have 256 mb RAM available for Photoshop to use.

MobileBadBoy has a good point though

get the RamBooster.

just do a search on the net. it frees up ram. I've been using it for about a week and it works. Haven't gotten any "not enough memory" messages yet.

my photoshop uses 75% of the ram I have. That's a whole 400+ mb.
