Who knows how to make an image like this out of ANY image? |

http://www.gamingscreenshots.com/hlaward.gif hey there, the image above is really cool and I want to take an image and add the chrome look that they have put for the pic of gordon freeman. I want to make an award for my page, buit I don't know how to tint the colors etc to get this effect. HELp! |

All they really did was play with the colors a bit. You'll need to cut out the object you want to colorize unless you want the entire picture colored. My method of choice would be to throw on some colors, play with the opacity and blend modes until I acheived the effect I wanted, but the easiest way would be to just go Image>Adjust>Hue/Saturation, check colorize, and adjust the sliders until you get a color you like.

i can answer this one ok first of all get a pix u want to make a diff. color cut it out and scan if u want to hahaha but mainly make shure it doesnt have a bg around it unless thats how u wnt it then make a new layer above that layer and now fill it with whatever color u want to change the original pix to now that thats done change the layer blend mode to color (that layer u just filled) and well thats pretty much it and bam u got a colored thingy lookinglike a thingy thats also looking like its kinda funky and also u get a thing that looks like zyconium and after that u get sumthing that looks like !moooooooooooooooooooooochan! ..... damn thats ugly muahahaha im freaking bored out of my mind |

Hey there, thanks for your help. The big prob is that this image has only 1 dimension!! So therfore I have to move it up to 3 dimensions. I played around with the hue/saturation and managed to get a bit of a gold tinge. Then i added some noise, and extruded it. I get a 2d image that looks flat, but it's better than before . Thanks!:D |

You can create a layer on top of the image you want to change the color of, then fill that layer with a dark yellow or gold or whatever color you want, the go to the overlay modes and mess with those. Its alot easier and faster than playing with the hue and saturation.
