All they really did was play with the colors a bit. You'll need to cut out the object you want to colorize unless you want the entire picture colored. My method of choice would be to throw on some colors, play with the opacity and blend modes until I acheived the effect I wanted, but the easiest way would be to just go Image>Adjust>Hue/Saturation, check colorize, and adjust the sliders until you get a color you like.

i can answer this one
ok first of all
get a pix u want to make a diff. color
cut it out and scan if u want to
hahaha
but mainly make shure it doesnt have a bg around it
unless thats how u wnt it
then make a new layer above that layer
and now fill it with whatever color u want to change the original pix to
now that thats done change the layer blend mode to color (that layer u just filled)
and well thats pretty much it
and bam u got a colored thingy lookinglike a thingy thats also looking like its kinda funky and also u get a thing that looks like zyconium and after that u get sumthing that looks like
!moooooooooooooooooooooochan!

..... damn thats ugly
muahahaha
im freaking bored out of my mind

Hey there, thanks for your help. The big prob is that this image has only 1 dimension!! So therfore I have to move it up to 3 dimensions. I played around with the hue/saturation and managed to get a bit of a gold tinge. Then i added some noise, and extruded it. I get a 2d image that looks flat, but it's better than before .

Thanks!:D

You can create a layer on top of the image you want to change the color of, then fill that layer with a dark yellow or gold or whatever color you want, the go to the overlay modes and mess with those. Its alot easier and faster than playing with the hue and saturation.
