Channels

Hi ppl.
I am using photoshop 5 and recently when i create a new channel it goes into greyscal and i cannot change it back to RGB
Can anyone help me here? :confused:

Viewing individual channels is done in Grayscale. What exactly are you trying to do?

i was doing a tutorial and it says make a new channel.
I made one and when i went to fill it with a clour it was in greyscale and couldn't change to RGB

Whenever you view individual channels, they are viewed in greyscale.

To get back to your RGB image do one of the following:

1) Return to the Layers palette and click on any of your active layers. Should restore you to a full color working image.

or

2) Use the following command: Control-~ (the control key plus the tilde) that brings you back to the composite image rather than individual channels.
