Hope this is in the right section of the forum. I'm trying to make wires.. but I want them to be smooth and not free hand looking because my hand isn't that steady ;-) I hear you can use the pen tool to make a target path. N/p there. How do I make my "wire" or tube run along that target path? I hope I'm making scene. I attached a small pic to show you what I mean. Thanks a million in advance. DD |

1) Using the pen tool, you create a new path and adjust it so it's wavy enough to be your wire. 2) Open the Paths palette (its one of the tabs with the Layers, Channels, Paths palette). 3) You'll see that your new path is listed as "Working Path" 4) Choose a brush size and a foreground color you wish the path to be stroked with. 5) In the paths palette, look at the bottom for a white circle with a black outline. Clicking it will stroke the path you made with the brush and foreground color you just selected. You may need to adjust the brushes spacing or smoothness if you get artifacts from the stroke. |
