just paste images on a new layer and change the layer modes to overlay. And maybe fool a bit around with the opacity settings of a layer. |

ok, i found my directions a bit too hard to follow, so here is the mini-tutorial. first to make sure this is what you mean, do you mean a picture like this? click (sorry for the bad resolution, but i made this really quick, so) i used these 2 images. 1 and 2 well, how to get this done... open your first image by going to: file --> open (i used my car pic here) secondly open up the other pic, i used the one of the cat by going to file ---> open again. now press your ctrl-button and drag the cat image on the car image. now change the blending mode of this cat layer... you can find the blending modes here Change the blending mode to screen, overlay or whatever you think looks good. That is on your layer pallet. Next to the blending modes you can find the opacity settings... change these untill you think your pic looks good. Hope this helps ya! NL |

Can you explain what you mean by "round corner border" a little more? Or even better, find an example of it and post the URL....

Example I gathered is at http://looneytunes.warnerbros.com/web/all_new_toons/all_endcard.jsp?ID=matwix You can see at the center of the layout that says "that's not quite all folks" Thats the border I was talking about. Thx again |

This will help you with you "round corners" question. http://www.deepspaceweb.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=27 Although, in PS6 I tend to simply use the "vector shape" of a round cornered rectangle to do my build. From there you can rasterize or change the path/paths into "selections". As far as How to place the image in Dreamweaver, well.... that will depend on what exactly you will be doing.... In most cases it is far better to create you're intire graphical "look" of the site as a layers .PSD file. Then "slice" the .PSD. Do a search on this forum for "slicing" and you'll see what you need to do. If you run into more problems just hit us with a new question. Hope that helps. |

Yep...What he said....I find that one of the best things to do if I want to figure out how someone accomplishes something on a website is to look at the source and pick it apart...You could also save the page and open it up in DW and see how the tables are layed out and images are sliced...Feel free to ask more questions if you have them.
