hiyaa folks, 2 questions: 1. What is the other ( correct) way of creating transparent gifs in photoshop 6.0 without using the help wizard? 2. If i wanted to create a chess board, with the white squares as transparent, how would i do this? i remember photoshop 5 had a eyedropper tool but what about photoshop 6? thanks for the help. |

1. Go to File->Save For Web... In this window, there should be a pulldown menu on the right where you can select JPEG or GIF. Select the GIF format and check the box where it says Transparency. Then click Okay 2. Delete the white spaces on the chessboard so that the white spaces are now transparent, and by that i mean you can see the charachteristic checkerd pattern in the Background. Then save it the same way as 1. |
