I'm wondering how you guys keep you file size so low but the quality dosn't suffer. I save for the web on my pictures but the file size is higher than I expect. How are you setting configured? Does it have to do with the color setting? FYI I'm using PS6

Okay, if your images are of high res or photo-like, save it as jpg.
I save most of my jpg files at 60% quality
For images that have less than 256 colors(you can estimate) for example the top header image of this forum or the buttons on this page. Most of the images in this page can be save at 32 colors and you won't notice the difference.
