I am completely new to Photoshop and i currently have 7.0. I just put together a dual monitor setup on my computer. I was trying to find wallpaper that worked well on two monitors. I found a site that carried about 25 different images that claimed to be for dual monitors. The instructions said to use a photo program like Photoshop, scale the image to the desired dimensions, and save it as a bmp file. After doing all that, the picture looks pixelated and too ugly to use as a wallpaper. The dimensions i'm trying to get are 2048x768. Here is the site with the images. http://www.geocities.com/verybadcrc/ As you can see, the images are very nice and digital in nature. Is there a way to enlarge the image to my specifications but also keep the quality of the original pic?

Not to my knowlege. I forgot whoever said this but, when you enlarge an image, Photoshop tries to replaces the pixels that were never present in the original images, and it does a pretty bad job at it. That's why the image becomes ugly and pixely. My guess is that you might want to try to find an image already saved at that dimension and not try to strech the image hoping that it will keep it's original quality. |
