Colored Pencil Effect

About a year ago I found a tutorial showing me how to to change a 3d rendering to a colored pencil drawing using photoshop. It involved choosing 4or 5 colors out of the rendering and using the graphic pen on each of the colors. It worked out great for me and now I would like to do it again, but I can't remember how or where the website is. Any help along either of those paths would be appreciated.

Possibly Image>Adjust>Posterize enter 4 or 5 for the value, Then Filter>Artistic>Colored Pencil...Dunno...Just throwing out ideas based on what you said.

Thanks for the help, let me be more detailed with the process. As I recall I had to select - color range - then choose one of the 4 colors. Then I would save it as a new channel or path? At some point I would end up with 4 separate layers (one for each color) at which point I used the sketch - graphic pen. The end result looks like below.

Well, I finally found the website where the tutorial was located. Unfortunately is is now some lame search engine and useless.
Does anyone know where I could find the tutorials that were located at www.fantasycamera.com. A mirror perhaps or just someone who straight copied them.

I uploaded my "color sketch" action to the TPS actions a while back.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like your " color sketch" is pretty close and just might work out for what I need. I might as well download the gimp manual and find out how to do it for myself too. It never hurts to have a little knowledge. Once again thanks for all the help.
