Hi I've done an image that I want to enhance. http://www.freephoto-i.net/users/SteelSymphony/OO_Tendrils.jpg I'm trying to overlay some small images (techie), across the tendrils that come out/from the OO. Problem : Flat images look just that, flat. I want to make it appear as if there is a sheen or transparent film over the images AND I'd like to curve the flat images to fit the cone shape of the tendrils. Just can't get it right. Any ideas. Thx |

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, :( but how did you make the tendrils? I've seen this image in so many sites, but I just don't know how to do it. |

I could be out in the blue with this. But: If one is about to answer a post in wich a question is asked, why can't one answer or direct that person who asked the question instead of saying "search this forum". I mean It shouldn't take more of ones time to post a link than post at all...? The questioner has likely already searched the forum and come up with nada. Thats the case when I ask dumb questions anyway, I search the forum and comes up with nichts then I ask the foolish question.... Just a thought.... Done searches now, I might do it the wrong way but, I don' come up with anything. Other than PS6UsER that have made a homepage: This one that have those. Try and PM him with this question. |

I cant seem to find the tutorial on it but the basic principle is this. Draw a rectangular marquee the size you want the tentacle. Apply a linear gradient to it from top to bottom (hold down shifft to keep it perfectly straight). Transform > Perspective and pinch one end in...Be careful not to do it too much otherwise it'll look jaggy. If the marquee is horizontal on the screen...go to Image>Rotate Canvas > 90 degrees (Shear only works right on vertical images)...Go to Distort>Shear and move the line around to make a nice smooth curve...Rotate the canvas back 90 the opposite way u did the first time...And there you go...If you have any questions I'll be happy to help.
