Right here we go firstly when I tried one of the tutorials for using the copper gradient when I apply it it always comes out black white instead of the preset copper colours how do I reset the gradient to use the pre set colours ?

2, I tried to get 2 cylinders 1 is horizontal and I want to put one vertical meeting at 90o but when i join them the part where they meet just goes to the background colour ? Im looking for the joined pipe like effect ?

hope some one can help please keep it simple like myself ;)

On your first question the first thing I think of is that you are working in "grayscale" instead of "RGB"

Go >Image >Mode >RGB

then the preset copper gradient should produce in color.

Second question.... I don't understand.

Can you elaborate?

I will try mate cheers for the first part

what Im trying to do is get a T shape made with what I can only describe as impressions of cylnders eg a long box with a gradient fill to look like a tube and a second 1 of these to intersect it at 90 degrees

and where they join to have like a mitred effect like this but I can only get a good join with the smudge button also I cant get the gradient to go dark light dark again

replace the * with i the forum wont let me put profanity ;)
