 I NEED TO PUT MY LOGO ON A IMAGE OF AN ARM AS A TATTOO, BUT CANNOT GET THE TEXTURE AND FEEL RIGHT. THE LOGO IS A FAIRLY SIMPLE BLACK IMAGE. ANY IDEAS?

Change the layer mode. Experiment the transparency and modes.

Another possible alternative to play with is say you have the skin on layer 1...and the black tattoo artwork on layer 2...Load the selection of layer 2...Then select layer one (with the selection still loaded from layer 2) And layer>layer via copy. Put the new layer above the tatoo layer...Mess w/ the layer modes and turn down the opacity quite a bit...Then use the layer mask tool to strengthen / weaken parts of layer 3. You might finish off by duplicating layer 2 and putting the copy on top and adjusting the layer modes and opacity again. Kind of hard to say exactly...You'll just have to play around and see what looks good. Hope these techniques help you out a little.... |
