When the tutorial specifys creating a "1 x 3 selection" i am lost. What menu or tool selection makes this happen? Additionally, how are regular ole' horizontal scan lines created? Thanks! |

i may be stupid but this is how i do it file > new width is 4 px (only the height matters actually) height is 2 then just zoom up, fill up one row w/ the color of your choice, then edit > define pattern or whatever it is... hope that helps... |

Thanks for the tip. I found and used another tutorial on this great site to make scanlines. Flawless! I'm still wondering however about a 1 x 3 selection. Does this simply mean 1 x 3 pixels? |

I normally just draw out a selection with the marquee tool but you can set that tool to be a "set" height & width ;)
