Corel photopaint has a function called stiching, does photopaint have something like it ?

merge 2 images into 1 being able to make something like a collage with a transparency to the edges of the images ??

Well...yeah, if i get what you mean, of course. Let me just start by saying Photoshop can do a heck heck heck of a lot more than Corel, and really, Correl is Photoshop's little little baby cousin.

Ok, it sounds like you need 2 layers, 1 for each pic...Now simply create a new alpha channel, smack a gradient across it, select it by control clicking the alpha layer. Now go back to the image you have on top, and with your half gradient dancing-ants, select 'fill'. Now do the same thing, only make your gradient backwards. Now turn down the opacity to around 6, i did it just there on my comp, looks pretty well. If you're a newbie and haven't a clue how to use photoshop, you will not understand a thing i just said. :D

might wanna look into learning about masks. all you do is click the mask button and draw a gradient. its a little easier than that other way ;)
