Hi, First of all, look at this image...and keep it open! http://www.proevolution.co.uk/peslogo.gif Ok, basically I want to keep all the lettering on the image but make all the background behind it be transparent. Is there an (easy) way to do this? If you have any free time perhaps you could have a try, but I'll be grateful for any kind of help you could give me on how to do it . Thanks. |

I do that type of thing all the time. First, I'm assuming you don't have the .psd file. get your wand tool, select each letter to the best of your ability - use quick mask & lasso tools to be sure it has a good edge, then blur it slightly. then, press ctl-J to get your selection on it's own layer. You can clean up the "jaggies" from there with a semi-rigid eraser. once you have that, you can do whatever you want with the background. (Delete it, then save for web as a .GIF, for transparency) I somehow feel I'm off track, but that's how I'd do it. good luck |
