1. yeah, that should pass for a lizards skin, but, perhaps make it more olive drab, its way to bright of a green.. dull it down a little perhaps.. 2. good luck, I don't know of any way to make seamless textures, have you tried looking through www.psworkshop.net they may have a tut on making seamless textures.. Thanks for replying Snore....after over 20 views at least you had something to say. good, bad or indifferent. Green: Yeah I have it in about 6 different greens, just posted one of em... the customer will have to decide what they like best. Tile: making a tile from something with some kind of consistancy is easy.....but those "cells" are randomly generated.... Well the only way I could get a "good" tile out of it was with about an hour and a half of airbrushing..... Tank God for the history pallet. |

Looks pretty good.....did you airbrush in all those highlights to the scales. What dedication! I agree with snore, the green is quite bright, but hey....I used to have an iguana about the same color. Later, Justin *PS- I set it as my desktop and it tiles quite nicely. Not exactly seamless but pretty close. |

http://www.fmotion.net/lizardskincopy.jpg http://hem.passagen.se/stefwest/pshop/ps04.html worked like a charm, a little bit of care could make a great seamless tile. what do you think? Rogue |

Did I airbrush all thos highlights: Hell No!......lol, I'm to lazy for that. A quick rundown: 1) i made a new document (with transparent Background) 2)I used the stained glass filter to make the "black" lines around the cells. 3)I selected the white area inside one of the cells 4)Select>Similar>...................delete 5) Now the cells are see thru. 6)I added another layer "under" the cells layer and filled it with green 7)went back to the cells layer and selected the black outlines of the cells and changed the color to a dark green and used the bevel filters. What am I gonna use it for: I'm going to use it for the body texture on an interface. This dude called me that does "reptile" presentations to schools and stuff and wanted a website. rogenroll, thats a good job...how long did it take YOU to getit to tile like that?.. I already knew HOW to make a tile....I just thought it shoulda been easier took me about an hour and a half |

it was actually easier than I thought, of course I took your initial lizrd Jpg and went through the tutorial. I basically used the smudge tool and used the line tool to make some of the new cell walls. 10-15 minutes tops. but as you see closely, its not perfect., But, I'm glad I took the time, because now I know how to do it and how easy it is. I'll be making tons of textures now. Rogue |
