hi all... does anyone know if you can rotate a selection by specific degrees ? is there a dialog box for this ? im using ps5.5 any help i can get in this matter will be greatly appreciated. ty. |

Use Edit > Transform > Numeric on your menu bar. Rotate is on the bottom right.

No, that will change your image proportions. Go to Select>Free Transform Then right click your selection and click on numeric. |

I will edit this post for the 100th time I don't have a Free Transform in my Select menu in 5.5 so I could not verify those instructions. But you were right about mine. I did a quick test but it was on a solid background and I'm half asleep. Sorry for the bad info.

Your instructions were right just use Transform instead of Free Transform in 5.5. I think I'm going to get some sleep before I offer any more help.

all right, for photoshop 6 you make a selection, then select>transform selection Then you should get a tool options bar (or whatever it's called) below the taskbar. There you should see numerous input feelds. First 2 are for nudging, second 2 are for changing the selection scale. Last 2 are for rotate and skew. |
