Hi, I have a normal photographed image at the moment and I need it to be changed so it is blue shaded on the whole image. However, I need the image to be shaded (tinted) at a certain HTML Color Code. Is this possible to do? I would be extremely grateful to anyone who can help . |

Image-->Adjust-->Hue/Saturation You'll have to sample the color to make sure it's HTML color-compliant. |

Thanks, but are you sure you can't make it an exact HTML color for it to be shaded? I seem to remember doing this a couple of months ago when I used Photoshop then. Does anyone else know how to use an exact HTML color for shading images?

make a new layer above your photo. go to your color picker, load the HTML color you want. fill the new layer with that. Change the new Layer's layer mode to color. try that out. |

graphicsguy, it does sort of work, but because my image is quite light, and I want to change it to a dark blue, it only changes it to a light-medium shaded blue. Like I said before, I do remember an exact way to do this, but I don't know how. Please...if anyone can tell me the exact way then I appreciate it loads! |

What about try this... Make your photo layer active. IMAGE>>>ADJUST>>>HUE/SATURATION, move the lightness down a bit, leave the rest as it is. THEN GO... IMAGE>>>ADJUST>>>DESATURATE. (Should make it grey) Add a new layer, use the color you want as Graphics Guy said and fill it with the blue and set it on color. How's that? |

Thanks, it does work, but I can't get the exact colour though can I. If anyone knows then please reply. Otherwise, does anyone know another program where I can get an exact HTML color?

Try this, but change the new layer's mode to overlay. Hope that helps! |

Done it now...thanks to all your help! It wasn't the way I used to do it, but it certainly works. Thanks again. Just like to add that this forum is very nice. Just searched for a site something like this on google.com, and its nice a site like this was listed near the top. I'll definately be back again for any more PS problems. |

a bit late, but... Try using "hue" -mode on the layer, instead of color...That way the brightness stays exactly the same..And blacks & grays & whites stay colorless. |
