Graphics like that?..... they range drastically in both style and content. Art and creativity aren't things you can give a step by step tutorial on. Most of what that person has there is simple masking and blending. You said you were new... I say... "You gotta crawl before you can walk" Do the tutorials on this site. Gain some skills.... learn and know what you need help with. Read the photoshop Help files (located under the "Help" menu inside the program) Find a specific problem you are running into and ask your question here. You found the best Photoshop "Help" community on the net. Now start learning Photoshop. Ohhhh... and ummmm, Who's missed me? :D |

yea ur really right and correct... i should start out simple and learn the simple stuff, but i have some questions about the simple stuff. When i start a new document, i click file>new this thing pops out and it has many modes for me to chose from. Sometimes i chose bitmap and then i enlarge the white screen and i start messing around with the tools .... doing regular ms paint works (squares and color), well thers some tools that wont let me work in that mode and tells me to switch to grayscale. Can someone tell me what are the different modes for? |

bitmap mode is for like black + white.... nothing in between. If you are going to be doing graphics for the web.... start with RGB as the color model |

...take it from somone who was where you are just a couple a months ago You gain nothing, and I mean nothing by taking shortcuts in making graphics. I know what you're goin' through, I've been there, done that, but it's just the wrong way !!! I started out by trying to do fantastic pics without the proper knowledge and copied and got me filters I don' use today 'cos of this Idea I've got about trying to learn PS from scratch instead of shortcutting. I gain knowledge of what I'm doin', I can (soon) see how others done it, and most important of all It is so satisfying to really have made a pic by myself from scratch and know how I did it, regardless of what plp in any forum thinks of it. From there I will go on and make pics other plp might possibly like... Any others thoughts on this...? |

Yes, it's called the Instruction Manual. You could also buy any of the hundreds of 3rd party books out there... Or you could go to www.google.com and search for photoshop tutorials, or you could look at the tutorials at teamphotoshop.com....... Graphics don't make themselves. Just play with the pencil tool or something. Click all the buttons. See what they do. Experiment. You aren't going to catch anything on fire if you do the wrong thing... |
