can i create a numbering action???

I was just wondering if it was possible to create a numbering action that I could run as a batch to convert folders full of files like: 8NJBL430.jpg and 8NJBL431.jpg to just 430.jpg and 431.jpg. In other words, I would just like to delete the first five characters from each file name. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

i am sorry but as far i know photoshop, action will not help you for changing the file name because when you record the action for the save as command, action record its file name and it not record the name which have changed by you.............

i have check out the same thing what you wants but its not work...........

i have again recheck out your problem with the some of my friends from the adobe's forum but as per myself and their Knowledge of photoshop it can't possible through the action of photoshop..........
