Cutting images

Hi,

Whenever I create a new image there's a 01 and a small white square object in the top left corner. Anyone know what this means? I think since that has appeared when I try to crop or cut an image a white space is created around it and I can't cut the image exactly right.

Go to >View >Show >Slices

and UN-check slices and it will be gone
