What is the best way to extract a bridal portrait including the veil from a green (digital) background so that I can replace the background and see it through the viel?

very, very slow and carefully, my friend. I steer away from the Extract tools. I prefer to use all of the lasso tools, Quick Mask, and a semi-rigid eraser. Takes a long time, but you'll get out what you put into it. You may even try copying the veil to a new layer and changing layer modes and opacity. Otherwise, just bite the bullett, grab your visine and go to it. good luck gg |
