Need fast help...My PS 6 does funny things. Hmmm...how shall I put it... For exampel, if I'm trying to fill a blank workspace with any color, it just fills in "shadewise". ex blue becomes very very light blue an' I have to clickety-click 'bout 8 times to get the blue color I picked in the first place...Any Idea on why, and where could I possible change this ? Like this, that is the blue in the palette is the blue I want, and the other...well, blue is what I get. Seems really weird to me. I haven't changed a thing in the pref's and it worked properly before.... Anyone ? Pman |

If you have to continually click to get the color you desire, the opacity of the fill color must be messed. This same thing happened to me once. Just right-click on the top of the toolbar and hit "Reset Tool" with the fill tool selected.

In the toolbar at the top of PS for the fill tool, look next to the Blend Mode dropdown box for the Opacity box. Odds are your opacity is set to below 100%. Just change the number there to 100%, and your fills will become totally opaque again.

I do appologize for this post. I think when one does these f***- ups one should think of doing MSPaint or somethin'. Of course MAD, you're right. I had the opacity set to 30 %, jesus, what a really, really newbie thing to do. I do thank You both for taking time to explain to me how to check my settings  P-man |
