Odds are you have a corrupt preferences file. Most Photoshop oddities can be cured by deleting the file, and restarting Photoshop. It will build a new file with the factory defaults. In Win2k, look for this file and delete it, or change the name if you don't want to delete it: C:\Documents and Settings\(username or admin)\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\6.0\Adobe Photoshop 6 Settings Best of luck. |

yep try that and if no luck try an uninstall, reboot, and re-install and see if that works...

Photoshop should enjoy running on your system. If you ever have a question about how its functioning, look down at the bottom bar for a right facing black triangle. Click it and a pop-up menu will appear with a few settings you can monitor. Click and check Efficiency. Now, everytime you perform an operation, Photoshop will report how efficient it was in the operation. 100% means Photoshop is running at peak efficiency. Anything below 75% and its hitting your scratch disks. If that happens, you will need to allocate more memory to the program in the Preferences section. |

I see in your first post you are running PS6.0, go download and install the 6.01 patch from the adobe site and you'll be ready to rock and roll.... that patch had some fixes aimed primarily at W2K |

Two things.... Ditch any Layer Styles that you don't use every day. If you're not using a Pro-level font manager, get one. |
