Hi! I'm "very" new to PS - I have version 6. I've been surfing these forums for awhile and feel I have learned from you all - thank you! Here's my delimma! Any input, insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I drew a sketch and scanned it in grayscale. I want to color it - But I want the "outline" of the sketch to have dark black lines (like a page out of a coloring book). I have tried numerous things and can't seem to do it! The outline is never dark - or disappears, it seems. I'm so frustrated because I'm sure this is probably an easy task. Thank you! |

you might also try using Levels to accentuate the outlines. in the Image menu, go to Adjust>Levels. in the histogram that appears, click and drag the black triangular arrow (shadows) towards the right. you might also need to tweak the other two gray and white sliders (midtones and highlights) to achieve the effect you are after. hope this helps. |

Thank you so much! By adjusting the levels as well as the brightness/contrast, I was able to get the effect I was striving for! It's all colored ... it looks okay for a first attempt. So hopefully with some patience and practise, I can learn some more ~ and perfect it! ;) Sláinte!!! |
