Hi, Anyone know how Bonamo created his sig, of course if you are reading Bonamo you'd prob be best qualified to answer....... I create lots of graphics like this from photos, using various methods, mainly by select --> colour range. Bonamos' seems to be a bit cleaner than my attempts though and I was wondering if there are any hints or tips or techniques I dont know about...... Thanks |

Image>Adjust>Treshold The edges will be jagged so do Select>All then copy it and paste it in a channel, then Image>Adjust>Invert, then do Filter>Blur>Gaussian, take a very low value ( like two), then do Image adjust Levels, slide the two outer arrows towards eachother untill it looks smooth.. Then load selection, go to layer and fill with color you want :p |

nice try but not quite ok first i did threshold, you were right about that. then to give it a nice drawn look, i used the lasso and made a selection of the white part, leaving out alot of the noise and jagged lines. then i saved that selection as an alpha channel in a new document. i gave that new document a black BG. i loaded the selection and filled it with white. then i did image>adjust>hue/saturation and checked colorize and made it bluish purple. |
