I am new to Photoshop but am very impress with it capabilities. I have a few question I hope you all (yes I’m from the south) can help me with. How do you create a background like this one (see link, http://www.sony.com/) the one with the girl? And how do you make the tint colors on the a pic like the ones on the woman’s face? :( Thank you, |

The background is just some random blue blobs that were motion blurred horizontally. Or it could be a blue picture that was motion blurred. I think the face is really just the photo, she has on shiny makeup and the put a blue light on her. The more blue area around her jaw bone can be done by making a selection of the area you want to change, and in this case, feathering the selection. Then go to Image > Adjust > Hue/saturation and check the colorize box. Then play with the sliders to get the desired color for that part of your image. |

Take your pencil or paintbrush tool, then just make some random squiggles with blue selected as your color. Do different shades of blue if you like, or even different colors all together. Then go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur. In there you can set how much you want the image to be blurred, as well as what direction to blur it in.
