Well, despite the fact I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, a friend of mine dragged some interest out of me in Photoshop ;)

Problem is, I can't manage to resize anything in PS without it completely locking up. Running Win2k, using version 6.0

As soon as I try to resize a new image, or something imported, it'll lock up completely. However, if I import something, save it as a jpg, and *then* muck around with it, it's fine... go figure

Anyone had this happen?

too hard to know without actually being on the computer, the file might be locked or you might of had a error installing, might try re-installing photoshop.

First thing you do is download the free patch from adobe and upgrade to 6.01

If that don't fix it.... trash the Photoshop "prefs" file.... and relaunch photoshop.

Also "search" around the adobe.com forums. Odd's are the 6.01 update will fix the prob. But, if you have Norton systems running there were also some issues with that. Particularly the protected recycle bin if I remember correctly...

Thanks for the replies =)

I haven't patched it, so I'll try that first. Going to be getting WinXP shortly anyways, so I'll probably just wait until then, and see if it still has the same problem on XP ;)

If it does, and the above solutions don't work, I'll holler again, heh.

Thanks!
