This is a picture of LuLu from Final Fantasy X.. I love this picture of her and I want to do a wallpaper.. Only problem is, I can't seem to get her out of this picture good enough to continue.. What would you experts do? http://phar0ah.hypermart.net/lulu-ffx.jpg This is a scaled down version but i think you can see why it is so hard for me (somewhat of a beginner) to get her out of this picture.. Thanks everyone! |

I don't really have any tips. Like I said, it just takes a bit of use of the tool to understand it. Trying different highlight settings and whatnot. You can try these links, if they help. http://ps6.com/Tutorials/Extract/intro.html http://www.designsbymark.com/pstips/photo_extractcomm.shtml And yeah, selections are another way, but IMO, the extract tool is easier. |

Chopping her out with the pen tool would seem the easiest/cleanest method to me. It takes a bit longer to outline like that, but the results are well worth it.

yep, i would use the pentool too. just click to add points, point after point untill you can close the selection. Rightclick inside the selection and go to: make selection... Just try and to get used to this method, you can use this for a variety of things and your selections will be clean. |
