i don't see how people have such flowing lines..... kinda hard to explain. like I don't see how its possible to draw these kind of things free handed... and the pen tool can help but not to the extent of some of the stuff i see... I can't think of a example but ill find one and post it. im talking about very curvey lines that cross and such.. anybody have an idea of what im talking about? |

probably not hand drawn, i dont know because you didnt post an example but you can apply distortion filters (wave, etc) to a straight line and get curvy ones.

You talking about something like this? I did those lines in Adobe Illustrator 10 VERY quickly using the new distortion tools. As for getting stuff like that done in photoshop, its not that easy, but you can still do a bit of similar stuff to it. If you want curvy lines that go together, I'd probably create one or two self-defined vector shape layers. Duplicate them, and them free transform them all over the place on the picture. |

im almost positive its not a 3d transform..its most likely a cube imported from a seperate 3d program. then it was probably manipulated with filters and blend modes.

the cube would have been made in ps because we were only allowed to use ps in the challenge, no 3d prog would have been used to do this
