pen tool...

Hi all

I was wondering;
When using the pen tool to create shapes,is there any way to prevent the the path from closing it self ?
Whenever i try to make a path with two endpoints,and click "make selection",the endpoints connects automatically <- annoying :D

By definition a "selection" MUST be closed off from the rest of the image. You can make shapes that aren't closed.... but if you turn it into a selection, it will ALWAYS close the path.

Torn is very correct on this. A selection cannot be open. It always closes itself off from the rest of the image.


If you want to minimize that effect, you'll have to re-trace your selection back to its originating point as closely as possible and close it there to get a small selection.

Just experimented a bit,and found that if i stroked the path,and then deleted the path itself,i can get the "selection" i was looking for :D
