What is KPT? plz tell me

Any one please tell me 'What is KPT'.

recently, i got a tutorial from this site, which instructed to use KPT.
I downloaded, two filter files named .kpt5


i tried putting inside the adobe photoshop-plugins folder, and enabled the folder in the photoshop-preferences.

:( i am confused by this.

please tell me, what is KPT. is it a third party tool. In the tutorial, they told to upgrade to KPT v5.01. where can i get KPT

KPT is Kai's Power Tools...a plugin for photoshop

but,

i found many sites giving out KPT presets.

whether i want to install KPT to use its plugins, or else i simply copy the plugins to the said directory.:confused:

As far as i know,they only work with KPT installed ..
