importing icons to director8:5

help!
can anyone tell me what do i need to do on photoshop 6 so that
images i cut off to be icons on director, will not have white borders when i import them in to a director 8.5 animation??

Director can import PNG-24 images.


Use either "save as" or "save for web" and select the PNG-24 image format.

If you use the "save for web" method, be sure that the "transparency" box has been checked.

Now open/import the file you just saved from PS in Director and it should look fine.
