Fixing Pictures with Ribbles...

I have a set of pictures I am trying to clean up, all of which where originally scanned by a junk printer. The images have textur in them that I would describe as ribbles, or ribbed. the pictures looking better now but I am new to photo shop and dont know how to fix these ribbes across the entire picture, or if they can be fixed. :confused: can any body help?

If you post a link to the picture it would be a lot easier to tell you how to fix it. I would suggest using the Stamp tool to clone areas of the image and cover up the ribbed areas, but it's hard to say without seeing the image.
