I've been doing more print work recently, things like posters/flyers to be printed at 11x17 at 300dpi as well as a few bigger pieces. I've noticed that sometimes when i place text (PS 5.5) on these higher res files it simply "cuts off" at a certain point. I was doing an 11x17 poster yesterday and whenever i tried to place text on the bottom part of the poster it wouldn't show all of the text, like a chunk was taken out of it. If i create the text at the top of the poster then move it down it's fine. Anyone ever encountered this before? Thanks. Chris |

Yes happened to me as well, especially with script fonts, it cuts of at the bottom. Mayby it helps if you check "fit on screen" in the type screen before you start typing (just making this up as i'm typing).

Yup. I've encountered the problem as well. And also only with large DPI images. I'm not sure how to fix it too well either. I usually just duplicate the text layer and just finished the rest of the text.

I've had it on the PC... but NEVER on a mac. Like MrB said it only happens sometimes and usually in higher res images. Come to think of it.. I've not seen it in PS 6 on the PC yet. |
