I was editing a photo I captured from a game to make a sig with and when I used the magic eraser tool, the character had jagged edges. How do I get rid of the jagged edges?

Make sure Anti-Aliasing is checked, play with tolerance values. You could also use Image>Extract or use the pen tool to make the selection you want.
