Hi All, How can I achieve a gradual blurring effect. I want one image to start very defined in the and become gradually more unfocused in the distance... |

I like doing it this way. 1. Duplicate the layer you want blurred 2. Gaussian blur the upper layer 3. While still on the blurred layer, on the top menu functions, go to layer>add layer mask>reveal all. This will create an invisible mask on the blurred layer that you can see on the layers palette. 4. Your color choices should have changed from standard colors, to black and white. Use the gradient fill tool on the blurred layer and you will notice that you can get a very smooth shift from blurry to sharp. |
