Letter help!

how do you make pictures in the letters, instead of the plain color?

Theres probably 50 different ways to do what youve asked - heres one of the easiest though;

Make your type on Layer 1 and do your picture fill on Layer 2.

Now choose layer 2 and go up to the layers menu — choose "group with previous". Now you can move the picture and the type around separately to your satisfaction.
