Merge an image with background

i have an image of a PC on my blue canvas area, i want to create a monotone or whatever its called to merge the pc into the blue background.
I see this done a lot with logos all merged into a grey background so all the logos are in monotone with the background.
how do i do this sort of thing in PS current version?
