Make your hole with the circle selection tool, then ctr+shift+I Paths pallet fly out, make the selection a clipping path... that is about it...... what ever is INSIDE the path is still visible... |

No - there IS a way to invert the path selection First select your path shape with the selection tool - now on the options bar at the top are a number of buttons - just try them all, if memory serves me its the one at the far right you need. This will give you a vector hole rather than a vector biscuit. |

Markzebra is correct. Using the path selection tool, select your path, then you'll see 4 buttons on the top toolbar. The rightmost button will reverse the path settings. Actually, the middle buttons will also do the same thing.

thanks a lot, guys. i try it: draw the circles and select all of them, then: layer>add layer clipping path, and choose the Path componet selection tool(black arrow), click the second button(subtract from shape area) of the four on the top bar. that s alright. |
