In need of Help

Well recently i have tryd to download photoshop and it turns out i downloaded somthing else instead of photoshop and it did not work on my current pc, i am trying to work out somthing with a image as a emblem so if anyone in here has any free time to help out then feel free too, well basically im trying to write Tsuba into this image http://i36.tinypic.com/t6v28m.png if anyone has any ideas on how to make it look good then i would appreciate it.

Tsuba is usually a round or occasionally squarish guard at the end of the grip of bladed Japanese weapons, like the katana and its various declinations tachi, wakizashi etc., tanto, or naginata, hope that answers your question xD.
