How do I remove person from an image?

I have a beautiful picture of Toni Braxton that I would like to experiment with.. I want to know some techniques on how to remove people from the picture so that you can put them in another background..

to get rid of the white outline when you have your selection finished make it a pixel or 2 smaller.

> SELECT >MODIFY >CONTRACT 1 pixel....

if that doesn't do it... ctr+Z and try again using 2 pixels
