I'm trying to create a nice graphic with these two images:
1: http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo42/PeterSteele_Freak/Net%20images/eye-stock.jpg
2: http://i360.photobucket.com/albums/oo42/PeterSteele_Freak/Net%20images/negsym.jpg

and I want #2 to go over the eye to create a cool eye-design effect but I don't know what the heck to do. I already know how to erase the background from the #2 image and everything but when I paste it over top of the #1 image all I know to do is try and change the blending options which does not work, it just looks crappy. Can anyone provide me with some help? I want it to look really neat, like the #2 design is actually part of the eye!

It all depends on the look your after, Here is on suggestion.
After you applied the second layer, play around with it's tranparency(fill) or opacity.

What you should do is read a book. This is the easiest photoshop problem possible, and yet here you are, wasting people's time: "Oh please help me do something any retard with the ability to google could do."

hi,
first of all ignor that calamityjoe, it appears all he does is insult people...
he does not represent people on the board.. the other people on the board will do what they can to help....

i played around alittle bit trying to understand what you need...

keep in mind just a novice my self... but little things i did...
1. put the design on 2nd layer....
2. eleminated the black background....
3. after played with the edit>transfrorm tool to get it look ok on the eye
4. also played a little bit with the filter>distor> spherize filter too make look a little warp on the eyeball .....

5 and after that did what idad mentioned about changing the opacity of the design ...
6. may need to use the eraser alittle on top and bottom to where it look more natural on the eye (the eyelids normally hide that area of the designe.....

those are some of the things i did......

Thanks for your suggestions! I never thought about #3 and #4.
I'll try it all out and see what I can come up with.

Thanks again!

hi kely bean

your welcome... after that it just take practice to get it the way you want.... and figuring out the right tool/feature to use..

now i came across a little tutorial on wrapping.... may or may not help you... that eyeball may not have enough curvature to bring it out.... but anyway
http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/cylinder/cylinder.htm

also if you have photoshop cs2 or above supposidly there a warp feature there
