Using Photomerge for Panoramas

I tried using Photomerge for the first time today, but the problem is when my photos are stitched together, the final product is very curved. I posted an example on Flikr so that hopefully someone can help me:

I would love to know how to create a panoramic image, and would appreciate any help!

i don't know what version of PS you have... my expereience is with cs1 and the newer version of photomerge has a couple of additional fetures...

i haven't really used photomerge that much... but i am wondering if you made the right settings...

it sort of look like after the initial merge you had the setting for "perspective" or clylindrical , that there is generally for curving around round object. if you change the setting to let say normal it should be much better...
