I posted this on another forum for the same idea, I will repost the steps here. step 1, open your image, select your 3 sides for your box. (use the marque tool, and select the front first, go to "layer/New/From Copy" and then do this for the top, and the side) step 2 with the layer for the front selected, go to "Edit/Transform/Perspective" and change the layer as needed, it might help to have the box image as your background layer so you know what shape you need to create. step 3 once you have you peices in place select the 3 sides (layers) an go to "Layer/Merge Selected" step 4 use the clone stamp tool to fill in the edges step 5 create a new layer at the top of the stack, fill with 50%white/50%Black, or gray, set the blend mode to "Overlay" in the layers pallet. this should make the layer transparent. step 6 use the "dodge" tool to create the highlights, and the "burn" tool to create the shadows (note to do your dodging and burning on the gray layer (Tip) you can draw a straight line with any tool in PS if you click at the start of the line, and "shift/click" at the other end of the line That should do the trick, I did not work through this process, but if I missed anything, or connfussed you, just pm me. |
