hey guys, firstly hello im new here secondly this is the reason i have come to you gurus! ive been trying to re-create this image(link below) but ive been failing ive tried using my graphics tablet and added an asortment of effects but i just cant seem to do it. if any one has any idea how this was made then please please reply. i have tried for several weeks now!! and still failed :'( im getting to the end of my tether i really wish to add an effect like this to a background image im working on. i cant remember where the image came from so cannot ask the author, any help would be much appreciated thank you in advance. i cannot add attachments and so i have uploaded the file here http://www.killeruploads.com/download.php?file=989089169-pattern.jpg |

it looks like they use the "stroke path with brush" command, what you need to do is set your pen tool to "paths" in the uper left hand corner of your screen, then create your path with the pen tool, then go to "Paths"pallet it should be attached to your layers pallet. then select the path, and "Alt/Option" click the little white circle with the whole in the middle, and choose your options, (you need to set up your brush to the specs you want before stoking the path) then it looks like one line has a gradient running through it, set that up in the "Layer Styles/ Gradient Overlay" one has a very light "outer glow" once you have your layout, you can erase parts of the lines to make it look like the lines overlap each other. well, aside from recreating it for you, that is all i can say good luck |
